Personal Assistant to Emma Puttock

My name is Kate (another one) and I help Amy out behind the scenes, often with the arrangements for visits or appointments, or coordinating with the team. I also work like a trojan when it comes to organising Emma and her super busy diary. 

From the moment I joined Now, Next & Then, I felt inspired by the passion and energy of everyone in the team. I love being part of something that celebrates and supports children and young people and champions all that they have to offer, while offering amazingly positive support wherever it may be beneficial. Emma has created a hub of amazing professionals who each bring something unique and valuable to the company, and therefore to the children and families we help. One of my main tasks is to bring to the sparkly high vibe every day.

Before joining the team, I enjoyed working across a variety of roles, mainly landing in graphic design for a greeting card company, and then as a freelancer. Latterly, I worked in a primary school which provided valuable insights for aspects of my current role too. I’m a people person and enjoy being creative and using my problem solving skills, so as Emma’s PA those skills are utilised to the max. My role is very varied which is challenging, stimulating and rewarding in equal measure.

In my home world, I love nothing more than finding a sunny spot in the garden with a good book, which is very obviously weather dependent. I love travel, music and being creative in a multitude of ways. I have been running an Etsy shop since 2015, for which I love to create new items in my spare time.

Otherwise, my family keep me very much on my toes; I live with my husband and two teenage children (one of whom has half flown the nest to uni) and always enjoy spending time with family and friends.
